Not only has Michael been extremely busy with DJ gigs lately, but he’s been spending a lot time in his studio cranking out some new productions. He was asked to submit a remix of “Moves Like Jagger” by Maroon 5 feat. Christina Aguilera, and much to our satisfaction and enjoyment, it was selected and is now Michael’s first major label release. The single has been getting great reviews and seems to be poised to get a lot play. The promo on A&M/Octone Records has already shipped and features Michael’s “Michael Carrera Darkroom Remix” and his radio edit, as well as others by Soul Seekerz and Cutmore. The remix has already been getting some mentions across the web, and hopefully there will be more to come. Stay tuned for info on the commercial release.

Other projects are also in the works. Michael recently completed a remix for L10 out of San Francisco, he gained a residency at MJ’s in Los Angeles, and his Sound Sessions show is still chugging along.
